Plant dormancy research: from environmental control to molecular regulatory networks

نویسندگان

چکیده

Annual growth cycles of perennial horticultural and forest woody plant species temperate boreal regions can be divided into two phases, namely the dormancy phases. During phase, vegetative reproductive meristems undergo to withstand subzero winter temperatures. The dormant state organs defined classically as a non-growing latent state, where no visible occurs in meristem containing plants structures, such seeds buds. In strictest view term, is considered which cell divisions cease, unresponsive growth-promoting cues until dormancy-breaking are perceived by (Rohde Bhalerao 2007). For more than 30 years, bud has been distinguished three types: (i) paradormancy, lateral suppressed actively growing apical also known apical...

The Role of Regulatory in Price Control and Spectrum Allocation to Competing Wireless Access Networks

With the rapid growth of wireless access networks, various providers offer their services using different technologies such as Wi-Fi, Wimax, 3G, 4G and so on. These networks compete for the scarce wireless spectrum. The spectrum is considered to be a scarce resource moderated by the spectrum allocation regulatory (“regulatory” for short) which is the governance body aiming to maximize the socia...

Modeling regulatory networks to understand plant development: small is beautiful.

We now have unprecedented capability to generate large data sets on the myriad genes and molecular players that regulate plant development. Networks of interactions between systems components can be derived from that data in various ways and can be used to develop mathematical models of various degrees of sophistication. Here, we discuss why, in many cases, it is productive to focus on small ne...

Plant Evolution: Evolving Antagonistic Gene Regulatory Networks

Developing a structurally complex phenotype requires a complex regulatory network. A new study shows how gene duplication provides a potential source of antagonistic interactions, an important component of gene regulatory networks.

Decipher Plant Gene Regulatory Networks Using Single Plant Cell Types

Gene expression is under the control of transcription factors and various epigenomic modifications of the chromatin such as the methylation patterns of the genomic DNA (gDNA) and various chemical changes of histone proteins. Small RNAs are another important regulator of plant chromatin structure and gene expression [1,2]. The integration of different epigenomic marks (i.e. gDNA methylome, histo...

Molecular characterization of environmental Cladosporium species isolated from Iran

Background and Purpose: Cladosporium species are ubiquitous, saprobic, dematiaceous fungi, only infrequently associated with human and animal opportunisticinfections. Materials and Methods: Airborne samples were collected using the settle plate method, and soil samples were obtained from a depth of 5-10 cm of the superficial soil layer. Samples were cultured on Sabouraud dextrose agar (SDA) pla...
